So you decided to start a profitable blog and you are excited about reaching your target audience. The problem is that you’re on a limited budget and are not able to purchase those pricey resources that the pros talk about. No worries because in this post I’ll discuss some inexpensive yet high quality tools for making a successful blog. The first thing I’ll mention is web hosting. A while back I wrote a post titled Before You Get Free Web Hosting, Read This. I urge you to read it because it discusses the reasons why free web hosting is a bad idea for bloggers. Some great web hosting companies for you to try include SiteGround, Bluehost and Hostgator. These companies offer affordable web hosting without sacrificing quality. Here are some additional inexpensive or free tools for your blog.

There has been a lot of talk about Hootsuite and for good reasons. You can sign up for the free version and it comes with the ability to schedule up to 30 posts ahead of time for your blog. You can also manage three of your favorite social media profiles with this service. There is also an analytics section that lets you keep track of who follows your work and social profiles.

Yoast SEO Plugin

We know how proper SEO techniques help in your blog’s ranking potential with the search engines. For this reason I recommend Yoast SEO plugin. The plugin is designed to help you analyze what is good and bad about your website, and it makes recommendations for improvement. On one of my posts, Yoast recommended that I include some images. And for another it suggested that I use the focus keyword in the title of my post.

Take the stress out of cold emailing with this tool called Mailshake. With this tool you can use a variety of templates that you can customize and design so that the email inquiries you send will be more personalized instead of dull and generic. You start by starting a new email campaign on the Mailshake site and then you would pull up your emaill list. From there you compose the emails using the templates you choose. You’ll pay $17 per month for the service.

This is an essential tool for bloggers. You can install this programon your browser and you can have well-written blog posts consistently. This tool alerts you of times when you’re using passive voice too much, misspelled words, and when your work appears plagiarized. It also tells you when your sentence structure is not right.

Canva and Pixabay

I use these two sites to obtain free images and to design my Pinteresr covers for my blog. I’ve been satisfied with these services and I can find hundreds of images and designs on any topic I write about. When I first started blogging I couldn’t find a great site for designs and images. But now I’m glad that I found these sites and I recommend them.
